PRESS
"Whether he’s talking about his adventures in truancy or hot oil massage, he speaks with such polished delivery and genuine ability that you can’t help but enjoy his set… He interacts with his audience so well that you’d think he’d invited them himself. Lewis has indisputably funny bones "
– Ed Fest Mag
"A witty, self-deprecating and downright hilarious set from this accomplished comic "
– Fringebiscuit
"‘A Man, a Plan…’ is an absorbing tale packed with fine gags… woven through are some lovely observations, his characterisation of TK Maxx is damningly spot on… a plucky everyman with more calculated wit than he lets on, expect to see plenty more of Lewis soon "
– The Scotsman
"Lewis is a witty, awkwardly charismatic comic, he’d be right at home on a panel show "
– Shortcom
"That accolade went to George Lewis for the sheer inventive strength of his writing. He’s clearly a linguaphile… But there’s also a context that makes his routines more than a parade of one-liners, as he paints himself as a loveable loser, especially in love. An expert craftsman, Lewis deservedly adds this title to the 2015 Amused Moose Award, which he won at the Edinburgh Fringe last month "
– Chortle
"George Lewis stood out as the funniest. At the very least because every single one of his gags got full laughter… plenty of intuitive subversive humour [and] his geeky self-assurance made the audience erupt. 9/10 "
– Arts Award Voice
